The concept of zombies is quite frictional -undead, flesh-eating, decaying corpses. Mostly zombies are portrayed that they don’t possess brains they can’t think the only instinct they have is they have to eat to survive. The concept of zombies is becoming popular after the 1968’s film Night Of the Living Dead. Now the concept is evolved in many ways from slow-moving walkers to fast and ferocious runners, living in hordes, or staying in large families, don’t possess any brain or developed intelligence. that almost everything we have witnessed in various zombie movies. Gathering all of these concepts I have crafted 9 best zombie movies that will mesmerize you with their distinctive storyline, memorable characters, and adrenaline-pumping action.
Zombieland Duology
Released On: 2009, 2019
Available On: N/A
IMDB Rating: 7.6, 6.7
The story of this film Duology follows a group of people who are surviving in a post-apocalyptic world but not in a traditional way. As everyone in the world is mostly wiped out the survivors live their life luxuriously. With infinite resources, they are living their lives just great. But their life doesn’t run that smoothly. All the living people are now becoming man-eater zombies. Now you guessed it the film is packed with a lot of action sequences, thrill, adrenaline-pumping chase sequences, and combination of creative ways to kill zombies. For some reason, our main characters leave their comfortable life behind and start a road trip adventure. Which is definitely filled with unexpected twists and turns. To survive they have to navigate through various challenges including encountering terrifying zombies. The movie also introduced different types of zombies depending upon their aggressiveness. In the horror-comedy genre, this Duology is always one of my favorite zombie movies.
Shaun of the Dead
Released On: 2004
Available On: N/A
IMDB Rating: 7.9
What would I say of this film? This is a zombie movie but while watching the behavior of the characters you just can’t stop laughing. Yes, this film belongs to the comedy horror genre but how they represent it in the plot really brings a fresh and hilarious take on the zombie apocalypse. Shaun – a stupid or behaves as stupid, timid, and low confident man who is working on a TV shop as a salesman. He is basically failing everyone he fails his parents, his girlfriend, and also his boss. What he really loves is to stay with his friend, drinking beers all day, playing games, and bitching all day basically a worthless man. However, as zombie outbreaks start his character slowly develops. He starts to worry about his family, and friends and tries to protect everyone. So he starts to do everything that can save everyone without worrying about himself. With a pretty good storyline in touch with comedy, and horror elements you will definitely enjoy this film. Whether you’re a fan of zombies or just love a good comedy, you just can’t leave laughing and on the edge of your seat.

Frankly, Resident Evil released back in 2002 is my first entry into the zombie movie genre. It is a pack of 6 different movies For everyone who loves this genre, I would definitely recommend the full resident evil saga. An action-packed film series based on a very popular video game franchise. The series follows the adventure of Alice who has some mysterious powers. On her journey, she battles against hordes of deadly zombies and other monstrous creatures created by an evil organization named Umbrella Corporation. As Alice uncovers the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation and their experiments, she becomes a fierce and formidable warrior, leading the charge against the forces of evil. The story is pretty straightforward but the visual effects and adrenaline-pumping action sequences are just amazing. Most importantly villains are iconic. In all the films of this series, villains are so unique and way stronger than the protagonist. With every movie all the questions, and queries are going to solve but also develop a few new mysteries. I think the Resident Evil movie saga is a must-watch for fans of the genre.
Army Of the Dead
Released On: 2021
Available On: Netflix
IMDB Rating: 5.7
Seriously a visually appealing movie. Scenes are so realistic, and characters even zombies are greatly developed. The twist of this movie than the typical zombie movies is, here zombies have their own minds not like humans but they have the potential to follow the orders of their leader. The leader is also a zombie basically a lab-made zombie which for some circumstances outbreaks from its prison. He starts to mutate humans by biting and scratching just typical stuff. As I have mentioned here zombies are not brainless so they can decide who has to be attacked or who should be spared. In this situation, a group of mercenaries undertakes a daring mission to rob a casino in a post-apocalyptic environment. By the way, the outbreaks happen in Las Vegas which is also quarantined. Now how do the mercenaries survive? can they able to kill the undead? Well, I am leaving those for you. So, whether you’re a fan of heist films, zombie horror, or just love a good action-packed adventure, Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead is a must-watch film.

The story follows a young man named Joon-Woo, who finds himself trapped in his apartment during a sudden and catastrophic zombie outbreak.
