Another masterpiece from Ubisoft from a different time. In 2018, it was a great addition to the epic Assassin’s Creed RPG franchise. The storyline is set in Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta in the year 431 BCE. You can choose between two different individuals; Alexios and Kassandra. Odyssey is based on an awesome storyline which one shouldn’t miss. With several graphics mods, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey could have one of the best graphics in video games.

The gameplay and character development are also amazing. And you would still be speechless even in 2021 if you have still not played this title. Speaking about storylines, besides the main story, there are so many side quests and if you want to extend your gameplay, there are also pretty amazing DLCs that have lots of missions and characters including Poseidon, Hades, Persephone whom you will meet. Assassin’s creed origins Cleopatra

Bit old but still worthy to be included in this competition. Because of the storyline, graphics, gameplay, Assassin’s Creed Origins was an awesome title back then. The storyline begins 49 BCE in ancient Egypt. The story follows a Medjay, named Bayek of Siwa and his wife Aya, and their little son who was accidentally killed by Bayek during the conflict with the 5 masked men who kidnapped and try to kill them. Sadly Bayek couldn’t kill them or didn’t know about anything about them but a bit of investigation revealed all of their identity, their powers, and influences around ancient Egypt. Bayek and Aya have decided to take their revenge by eliminating all of them with the help of Cleopatra and some known historical characters. That keenly gains your interest in ancient Egypt.

Assassins Creed Origins Cleopatra & Julius Caesar

Frankly speaking, a good mixture of imagination and reality makes this game a masterpiece of its time. You can also explore the world by enjoying the DLCs and side missions. There are so many different enemies and bosses you have to slaughter to avoid being slaughtered by them. Also, there are lots of weapon choices and skills you can unlock.

  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 100 GB available space

Horizon Zero Dawn is a multi-award-winning action role-playing and one of the best graphics video games. The storyline basically follows a long time period from the 21st century to the 31st century.

Because of the advanced technology, humanity is almost nearly at the end. Most of the creatures are mostly dead and the climate of the Earth is completely changed as machines take the places of all the living things and hugely consume the resources of this planet which leads to destruction in a couple of months. So the scientists have designed an AI which will recreate everything in the future when everything will back to normal. At the very beginning of this game, we are at the 31st century where people live like our ancestors. Yes, without any technology. By experiencing our main protagonist Aloy’s entire legendary quest to unravel the mysteries of a world ruled by deadly Machines, you can uncover her past, discover her destiny, and stop a catastrophic threat to the future. She has to face devastating, tactical attacks against unique Machines and rival tribes as you explore an open world teeming with wildlife and danger. In terms of visuals, just like the storyline, you can’t complain about that.

  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480, 8GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 40 GB available space

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is one of my favorite action-adventure graphically outstanding games in this list. Developers took care of every small detail from grass to hair to environment, everything is designed so perfectly. Especially with NVIDIA RTX and DLSS ‘On’, the game moves to another level. But these perfections obviously draw much more juice from your PC which you have already noticed from the recommended specs I have listed above.

Besides the outstanding visuals, according to critics Shadow of the Tomb Raider couldn’t offer a beautiful storyline still personally love the game. Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s plot was set after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider as its story follows Lara’s adventures through the tropical regions of the Americas to the legendary city Paititi. Through the main storyline, Lara has to fight the paramilitary organization Trinity and race to stop a Mayan apocalypse that she has unleashed. Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will ultimately be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.

Besides the main storyline, there are plenty of side quests available. By playing them in between the main story, you can achieve many different abilities and skills that make Lara stronger witch will help you to complete the story with more deadly manner.

Recommended GTA 5 Mods: Awesomekills Graphics, Photorealism Mod

GTA 5 is one of the most popular games of all time. After its release, there is no decay in its demand. Along with an awesome storyline, open-world environment, multiple protagonists and their impacts in the main storyline and side missions make this an incredible and perfect title for everyone. Of course, you can enjoy the Multiplayer version of GTA 5 too. There are also so many things to do. Rockstar Games also releases new content for the Multiplayer mode quite often which is pretty interesting to look at.

If you’re a graphics lover then GTA 5 will definitely not disappoint you. Being a 2013 game, in-game graphics are amazing but if you’re looking for absolutely out-of-the-world results then third-party developers have also created so many graphics mods to check out. I have listed two of my personal favorite mods but there are actually so many and you can try those yourself.

Marvel’s Spider-Man

  • Release Date: 7 September 2018
  • Platform: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5
  • IGN Rating: 9/10

System Requirements To Experience the Visuals For PC (If Available): N/A

When our childhood favorite superhero is back in video games then the excitement goes beyond the limits. In this title, we can witness the journey of our beloved Spidey. We can explore his skills, talents, technical skills, and the ability of different suits from comics and movies. And, how can we forget about most of our favorite & unique villains of Spider-Man including Electro, Doctor Octopus, Kingpin, Black Cat, etc.

Besides the storyline, it doesn’t need to mention the graphics of this game especially in the remastered version which was released for the PS5 consoles. Along with the main storyline, there are plenty of side quests that will allow you to unlock different skills and suits that can be used to defeat different villains and their followers and guards. I think, this Video game is an overall package that gives you entertainment from every expect.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

  • Release Date: 12 November 2020
  • Platform: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5
  • IGN Rating: 9/10

System Requirements To Experience the Visuals For PC (If Available): N/A

You know the Miles Morales, right? He is a Spider-Man from a different universe. Just like Peter Parker, he has almost identical abilities and a bit of some extra which can be unlocked as the game progresses. In the open-world environment in New York Manhattan, Spidey can talk to characters, help them that will allow unlocking additional content and collectible items. This game is mainly inspired by the movie Spiderman: into the Spider-verse though the character was from decades-long comic books. The story of Spider-Man: Miles Morales takes place one year after the events of the original Spider-Man PS4 game. Miles has progressed quite a bit, outfitting himself with his own red-and-black version of the Spider-Man costume to patrol the streets of New York City finding for crime to wipe it out. I am not going to spoil the storyline so you just play and experience which you shouldn’t miss. In terms of graphics, no complaint about that. The characters and environment don’t allow you to think “you’re playing a video game”. Sometimes you may think you are just in another Spiderman movie!

Cyberpunk 2077

  • Release Date: 17 September 2020
  • Platform: Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows
  • IGN Rating: 9/10

System Requirements To Experience the Visuals For PC (If Available):

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • Memory: 12 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GTX 1060 6GB / GTX 1660 Super or Radeon RX 590
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 70 GB available space

The most hyped game I have ever seen in recent memory is Cyberpunk 2077. No doubt, the graphics are just impressive. Moreover, gameplay, control, and physics are great too but there are so many visual bugs in this game. The only reason I have included this game is these bugs over time will be fixed and then Cyberpunk 2077 will be the perfect game from every expect.

The storyline is set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour, and body modification. You have to play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset, and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make, shape the story and the world around you.

You can experience in-depth character creation like hair, nose, jaw nail, body, etc., and also choose the gender you want. Become a cyberpunk, an urban mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements, and build your legend on the streets of Night City, a place that sets new standards in terms of visuals, complexity, and depth. Overall a pretty awesome game and could be includable in your ‘best graphics video games to play’ list.

The full story-based title possesses the main protagonist Max Payne who was an NYPD police detective and an undercover special agent for the DEA (Max Payne 1).

Fabiana Branco

At the start of Max Payne 3, Max finds himself employed as a bodyguard for Rodrigo Branco, a wealthy businessman in São Paulo, Brazil. Soon, Branco’s wife Fabiana is kidnapped but somehow Max saves her life but a couple of days later, goons again try to repeat the same thing. This time Fabiana and her sister Giovanna both are tried to be kidnapped. Giovanna is managed to escape with the help of Max but not Fabiana. Max tries his best to save his boss’s wife aka Fabiana throughout different missions. Soon, he also discovers a racket that was involved in human trafficking and selling their organs. Fabiana & Giovanna

The storyline is packed full of action with different guns, equipment, and strategy to save Max from bullets. After all, he is just a human, not a superhero. In terms of graphics, you will definitely enjoy it. Sometimes, you can’t imagine that the game was released in 2013.

Red Dead Redemption 2

  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 150 GB available space

‘Rockstar Games’ hits the community with Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018 which is considered as one of the top PS4 games. This is an action-adventure, fully open-world, first- and third-person western-style shooting game. You have to play as Arthur Morgan, a gunfighter of a gang named ‘Van Der Linde’. Arthur must deal with the decline of the Wild West while attempting to survive against government forces and other adversaries in the American frontier.

The game always keeps you busy in its interactive open world. You can play story missions, side quests, mini-games, activities like hunting, horseback riding. I would say you can spend plenty of hours in this game. To complete the story, you need approx. 40 to 60hrs but you can enjoy the side missions for some more hours without getting bored. So, I think, this is one of the best graphics video games that you shouldn’t miss playing.

Days Gone

  • Release Date: 26 April 2019
  • Platform: PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows
  • IGN Rating: 6.5/10

System Requirements To Experience the Visuals For PC (If Available):

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bits
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K@3.5GHz or Ryzen 5 1500X@3.5GHz
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 GB)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 70 GB available space

Bend Studio has announced PS5 enhancements for the Days Gone which really make this game more attractive & stunning to look at. Now it can achieve 4K at 60 FPS so that you can get buttery smooth gameplay and an incredible visual on this game. This is an action-adventure survival horror game that has been set in a post-apocalyptic world. The plot sets on two years after a global pandemic. Almost all of humanity is wiped out and transformed millions of others into “Freakers”, mindless nocturnal zombie-like creatures that are quickly evolving. Not only humans but also animals such as bears and wolves are infected by the pandemic and of course, everything that happens is completely planned by some smart and demon-like humans so there is some human enemies that should be eliminated in the game.

You can complete objectives in multiple ways, being stealthy using long and short-range weapons. Speaking about weapons, players can craft weapons that can be repaired after extended use. Players can pick up already crafted weapons from enemies too and by crafting new items, players can improve combat efficiency.  There is a dynamic weather system and day-night cycle which makes Freakers weak and slow by day but fast and aggressive by night. The main transportation vehicle is a motorcycle that can be modified with parts to enhance its speed, durability, or maneuverability, among other parameters.

In terms of visuals, at high or ultra settings you can find details in the game but not so many and it is also a fact that in GTX 1060 3GB, we can run this game at ultra settings. So, nothing out of the world is expected here still the graphics are enough to compete with others in this list of best graphics video games.

Far Cry 6

  • Release Date: 6 October 2021
  • Platform: Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Microsoft Windows
  • IGN Rating: 8/10

System Requirements To Experience the Visuals For PC (If Available):

  • Windows 10 (20H1 or newer) – 64 bit only
  • CPUAMD Ryzen 5 3600X (3.8 GHz) / Intel i7-7700 (3.6 GHz) or higher
  • GPUAMD RX VEGA64 (8 GB) / Nvidia GTX 1080 (8 GB) or higher
  • Memory16 GB (Dual-Channel mode)
  • Storage60 GB HDD (SDD Recommended) + 37 GB HD Textures (optional)
  • Direct XDirectX 12

Recent released Far Cry 6 is one of the most demanding games of the franchise ever. GTX 1080 and Ryzen 5 are the recommended GPU and CPU to reach 60 FPS at 1080p resolution. That’s pretty strange and we think most gamers all over the world don’t have that luxury so they either have to skip this game or just need to play at 30 and lower frame rates or in lower resolution. Anyway, graphically, the game is designed for perfection. Every single object of the game is precisely and accurately designed. Although in terms of storyline it doesn’t meet the expectations. But, as we are discussing the best graphics video games here, we can’t ignore Far Cry 6 because of its brilliant graphics.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

  • Release Date: 22 August 2017
  • Platform: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows (Coming Soon)
  • IGN Rating: 7.5/10

System Requirements To Experience the Visuals For PC (If Available): N/A

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is set after the events of the past Uncharted games but this time, not our beloved Nathan Drake as the main protagonist, but Chloe Frazer instead. she sets out to find a relic in India which is the legendary tusk of Ganesh, the son of Hindu god Shiva, who lost the tusk while defending his father’s temple. Chloe’s own father was killed by bandits while searching for the tusk. What I loved about the game is story settings. It is really impressive. Character development is just amazing and most importantly, graphics which the developers take care of perfectly with every small detail in the game. After around 10 hours of playing, I have completed the story. This is pretty short unlike the other games of this series but the beautiful locations with a pleasing storyline make me fall in love with this game. If you’re hunting for the best graphics in video games then it could be your best pick.

In terms of Gameplay, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is set in 3rd person perspective. Players control Chloe – a treasure hunter who is physically adept and is able to jump, sprint, climb, swim, swing, and perform other acrobatic actions. To roam in the game environment, we have two options either on foot or with vehicles. There are also so many weapons in the game – long-ranged weapons, such as rifles and shotguns, and short-barrelled guns such as pistols and revolvers; handheld explosives such as grenades and C4 are also available. Needless to say that to move on with the story, we have to solve lots of puzzles, kill so many enemies by being stealthy, or just bravely enter into their territory and hunt them down skilfully. Everything is possible here so you shouldn’t miss this overall amazing game.

Metro Exodus

  • Release Date: 15 February 2019
  • Platform: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, MORE
  • IGN Rating: 8.5/10

System Requirements To Experience the Visuals For PC (If Available):

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770k or equivalent
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1070 / GeForce RTX 2060 / AMD RX VEGA 56
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 59 GB available space

The whole Metro Series possesses a pretty unique and awesome storyline of the post-apocalyptic world. There are few humans alive and the world is mostly consumed by strange creatures. Survived humanity takes shelter on Metro Tunnels. For their daily needs, soldiers or trained persons have to leave the place for a couple of hours or days. The outside world is covered with poisonous gasses that can kill humans in a fraction of a minute without a gas mask. In this apocalyptic situation, humans are still the enemy of themselves. So over time, players have to kill human enemies, kill mutant creatures to collect gas masks to survive, and sometimes need to destroy places with bigger explosives to take control of what’s bad is going on.

So, overall, this is an awesome storyline and the graphics are outstanding too. If you crank up the game to its maximum graphics settings then RTX 2070 is mandatory to get an average 60FPS. In low settings, with just playable frame rates, any graphics card below GTX1060 3GB is more than enough. Although players might have issues who are planning on running the game on lower settings as the game offers only a few possible tweaks to balance performance and visuals.

Forza Horizon 5 is indeed one of the best graphics video games in 2021. Beautiful lighting, realistic car models, and incredible weather effects all make for one of the best-looking racing games you can find. FH5 is set in an open-world environment in the city of Mexico. Just like previous games, you can create custom events with obviously improved tools. With massive visual upgrades such as lighting, tire smoke, and dust effects, it becomes a perfect simulated game in its genre.
